FAQs:

PAINTING Refunds: No refunds or exchanges on original and commissioned and reproduction paintings - all sales final. However, I want all collectors to be happy and certain about their purchase, so, please take due diligence to read my listing descriptions carefully, and check colours on different screens/monitors if colour variation is a concern, as colours can vary on different screens/monitors. I photograph each piece of work in natural light and/or professional studio lighting but colours can vary slightly in person. Please contact me if you are uncertain about any of the qualities of the art and I will happily answer any concerns via phone, email, more photos and/or video to clarify a true understanding of what the art looks like.

PRINT QUALITY/LONGEVITY:

Mounted canvas prints:

Beautifully printed, custom-built, professionally stretched — our Giclée Canvas Prints last a lifetime

We use Breathing Color LYVE canvas, their award-winning, OBA free, truly archival, museum-grade canvas with incredible dMax and sharp detail — in a class of it's own. The natural texture of our canvas produces prints that are often hard to tell from an art original, and because they are not behind glass, offer stunning, rich-colour views from any angle.

The inks used in our Epson printer are 200 year lightfast for colour and 400 years for black & white prints, as certified by the Wilhelm Institute.

Before framing, we carefully coat all of our canvas prints with Breathing Color Timeless Coatings, which are certified 100+ year archival by the Fine Art Trade Guild. They pair beautifully with Breathing Color LYVE canvas and have a Satin finish. UV protection is built right in. Coating is critical for long-lasting, vibrant art, so it is included in our pricing. Beware of Giclée canvas printers who don't coat their canvases.

Our stretcher bars are locally sourced from sustainable, Vancouver Island Douglas Fir and Hemlock, kiln-dried and milled to our specifications, just 15 minutes from our location. We custom cut stretcher bars for each print, building them into light, strong, well-braced (corner bracing and cross bracing as required) frames.

Our stretcher bars are 1.5" thick/deep.
The side treatment of the canvas is a mirror image of the art, making the canvas a ready-to-hang, but of course, Ronei recommends adding a wood float frame to puntuate the art and elevate it’s appearance.

Moisture: Our canvas prints DO stand up to moisture, you can hang them in your bathroom without the concern of moisture damage.

UV: Despite the archival coatings used, we do NOT recommend. hanging any art in direct, long-term sunlight.

Paper Prints:

Fine art and photo paper prints of the highest quality and outstanding colour!

Giclée printing on modern fine art papers results in amazing richness and detail, high colour fidelity, and superb image stability, capturing the subtleties of the artist's original creation.

We primarily use Breathing Color Fine Art papers, perfectly paired for optimal results with our Epson SureColor P20000 Giclée printers. The paper we print on is Elegance Velvet, a matte, cotton-rag, and is archival. Elegantly textured for a mould-made feel. All paper prints come with an additional 1” border. Eg, a 20x10 image with a 1” border will be 22x12” in total.

*Note: the exception is for Wholesale orders. Those sizes include the 1” white border. eg, a 20x10” print means the image will be 18x8”. This aids your retail customers to frame the art in easy-to-find frame sizes with out an additional matte or the additional expense of custom framing.
