Sometimes you need something a little extra special for you, your client, your colleague or a loved one.
A commissioned painting is perfect when you have a special story that needs commemorating. Maybe you have a favorite beach; a special vacation spot; a lucky fishing local? Or perhaps you have fallen in love with one of my paintings but it already sold. Maybe one of my pieces is just not the right dimensions for your space or you need a specific colour palette because your couch is too perfect to replace. I am happy to work with your needs and would love to create something magical just for you. FAQs
To begin the commission process we will have a phone consultation (or email/text) to discuss initial concepts, There is no charge for this service. We will discuss topics such as reference photos to be used, composition, size, colours and general painting style. After that conversation, we will decide if we both feel we want to move forward.
I am happy to take initial direction from the client during the consultation process and once we both feel confident with what direction to go, then I will take the lead on the creative process and outcome.
Commissioned paintings will reflect the style of my most current work. Please look at my portfolio to familiarize yourself with my current style. My most current work appears at the top of the page and then follows chronologically.
Currently I am charging $2.75/sq inch.

A 50% deposit is required prior to commencing the painting process. Your deposit will be a confirmation of our contract.
Contract details will be in the quote/invoice I send, please read throughly prior to sending payment as your payment will bind our contract.
Preferred payment type is etransfer however, I can also accept payment via PayPal (V,MC,debit, etc).
Once the painting begins, I send you progress photos and/or videos of the magic process that builds your painting - that part is SO fun! Not only do you get to witness the evolution of your painting but you will come to know how and why so many layers go into building a painting.
Please note: I share the progress photos and videos on my social media for my own promotional purposes but will keep you anonymous unless you request otherwise.
Turn around time for completion is 3-6 weeks depending on how many commissions are in line before yours.
Once the painting is completed, you will be invited to view the painting for approval. If you cannot visit my studio in person, I will send high quality photos and video for you to make your determination.
The 50% deposit is non-refundable.
Once the painting has been approved, the remaining payment is due prior to varnishing, framing (if that is decided) and the release of the work.
Shipping will be quoted based on the girth of the package and your location. Local pick up from my studio is an option as well.
